Get Started Buying Gold
This is a short video we put together over the weekend using Hard Assets Alliance demo website/account information (so, no, that $200,000 in the account is not mine! [shucks]).
The purpose is to show how easy it is to use the secure online platform to buy gold at Hard Assets Alliance and either take delivery of the precious metals (gold, silver, platinum, palladium) or choose a secure vault from one or more of many around the world to store the gold, silver, etc.
They offer gold in 1/10 ounce coins up to 1 ounce sovereign coins; they have LBMA certified bars in 1 oz, 10 oz and 1 kilo (over 32 oz).
Prices are lower than the competition, storage fees are lower than the competition.
Since this video was first compiled, HAA has expanded trading hours to 24×7 on business days (M-F, excluding holidays).
Some Background
It is this competitive dealer network that really differentiates The Hard Assets Alliance from the competition. BullionVault has something similar but only with grams of metal in an online Gold account, not with physical sovereign coins or bars that you can select and ultimately have delivered to you if you wish.
Opening an account is easier with The Hard Assets Alliance than just about anyone else. You can do it all online, from the comfort of your home and if necessary you can pick up the phone and call with a question.
The process is simple and hassle free, the phone support folks are US based, very friendly and helpful.
Unlike so many other financial accounts, there is no intimidation factor when opening your account (called a “SmartMetals” account) at The Hard Assets Alliance.
Also unlike so many other Gold accounts, you can transfer funds using simple, easy and free to use ACH transfers. This really is a WHOLE lot better than wiring funds to GoldMoney. (Every time I do a wire transfer I have to train a bank employee in how to get it done – there’s an hour wasted!)
Which Gold Product To Buy At HAA
When you are ready to buy Gold at The Hard Assets Alliance, have some idea what you will do with the Gold before you decide what to buy.
For instance, I don’t expect to have the bulk of the Gold I have at HAA ever be delivered to me, so I choose large bars because there is lower premium; I get more Gold for my dollars. 10 oz. LBMA bars suit that purpose very nicely.
Yet, if you expect to have them delivered, maybe you want to choose Gold Eagles or Buffaloes if you live in the U.S. or Maple Leafs if you are Canadian; Aussies perhaps want Gold Kangaroos.
The flexibility is one of the benefits most appreciated, I think, by those of us who have been using them for a while.
I hope this video is helpful for you, please leave a comment or contact us if we can answer any additional questions you may have.
